Strolling to St. Mary's Church

The path to St. Mary's Church

We made our visit to England in mid-June, right when most of the roses would be displaying their first bloom. Everywhere we went, there were roses climbing buildings and cascading down over garden walls along alleyways and paths. Most were English roses, or antique roses, both of which are the most fragrant. This little pathway leading to St. Mary’s Church is typical of so many of the places we visited on our magical tour of the gardens of England.
