A different view of The Crowd. Here, and I could be wrong, I may be reading a poem I wasn't sure I was going to be able to make it through without my voice cracking. I read "Simon Says," which is personally very emotional for me. I had to pause at one point, but I made it through—barely. I'll have to work on that if I'm going to continue reading my stuff in public. It's okay to be emotional, but you have to keep it together enough to keep going, right? I wish I had stayed in touch with the theater people I hung around with in college. They would know how to handle working your emotions into an otherwise fictional scene and still keep it coherent. If anyone reading this knows any tricks, please email me.
